VDO ALAS Plated Steel 12/24V

Adjustable Swing Arm Sender

1. SAE 5-hole mounting flange can

rotate to position sender for right or

left hand swing.

2. Body constructed of plated steel to

eliminate damage caused by fuel slosh.

3. Swing arm pivot uses oversized bearings

for long life.

4. Adjustable for tank depths from 152mm to

584mm.

5. Wiper and thick film resistor are shielded

from fuel slosh for maximum durability.

6. Float arm stops ensure wiper remains in

contact with resistor board when tank is

full or low.

Designed for severe duty use, each of these

senders contains an SAE standard five hole

metal mounting flange and body components

which can be adjusted from 6" to 23" tank

depth. Adaptable to right hand or left hand swing

arm. Each contains thick film resistor technology

for greater resistance to wear associated with

standard wire wound units. Each kit contains

neoprene mounting gasket and mounting

screws. For tanks without flange mounting holes

our optional tank mounting kit may be used.

VDO ALAS I 12/24V Fuel Senders

An economical and practical

solution for fuel monitoring for tank

depths from 140mm to 400mm

Engineered with a redundant dual wiper system,

our unique VDO 'quiet arm’ and thick film

technology, VDO ALAS I leads the field in reliability

and durability. In fact, this family of senders has

the ability to withstand over one million swing

arm cycles without failure. ALAS I senders

feature our unique slotted SAE five-hole flange

mount, an industry first that gives you the utmost

in versatility for sender mounting positions.

Three resistance values are available,

10-180 ohm, 240-33 ohm & 0-90 ohm.

ALAS I senders are available with an

optional low fuel warning contact circuit

found in no other universal type sender.

Upon request, we can supply senders fully

assembled to your specifications.
