Start restore

8 Click on [Restore] to start the restore function.

If the database name already exists, you will be prompted to confirm that you

want to overwrite the existing database.

A message will be displayed telling you that the restore operation has been

successful.

9 Confirm the message with [OK].

The restored database is listed in the database box.

Tip

If an error has occurred, a corresponding message will be displayed. When you

have confirmed the message, you should stop MSDE/SQL Server and repeat

the restore operation.

Starting the Service

10 Start the TIS-Office Service.

Right-click on the Service icon in the notification area on the taskbar and select

“Start“ from the shortcut menu. Confirm the message asking you whether you

want to start the service with [OK].

11 Click on [Cancel] to close the “Backup and Restore Utility for TISOFFICE DBA“

dialogue box.

You will return to the main window where you can select another function or

close ToolBox by clicking on [Exit].

Important

If you have restored a database under a different database name, remember

to assign this restored database in TIS-Office using the modify function in

Utilities > Company Details. This function is part of the “Company“ module.
