KiscanDB Converter

It is, of course, possible to change from KISCAN to TIS-Office without losing

any data stored in your database. However, you must convert your KISCAN

database to the TIS-Office database format.

Proceed as follows:

• Backup your KISCAN database, e.g. on an external storage.

• Transfer the tables; see Chapter "KISCAN database conversion to ANSI

format" on Page 30.

• Install TIS-Office 2 as described in the Installation Guide.

• Start ToolBox 2 and convert the KISCAN database; see Chapter "KISCAN

database conversion to TIS-Office format" on Page 33.

• Start TIS-Office and check the data, e.g. the master records.

The following database tables must be converted to ANSI prior to migrating

them to the TIS-Office format:

Important

The KISCAN paradox tables must be in ANSI format. If not, you must convert

them using KISCAN. Only then can you migrate the KISCAN database using

the ToolBox 2 converter function.
