ReIndex/Compress DB

This feature is used to reorganise the index of a database and thus eliminate

fragmentation. With large databases this can take some time.

This function will not compress the database in the same way as the compress

function in TIS-Office. No driver activity data will be deleted.

To re-index/compress a database:

Tip

You should perform this function

• after you have compressed a database in the TIS-Office application using

the corresponding function,

• after you have checked data integrity and deleted or recalculated chart

data records,

• if working with TIS-Office has become too slow, e.g. when generating a

report.

Caution

Do not stop the process by clicking on [Cancel]. This could irrevocably destroy

the database.

1 Start TIS-Office ToolBox 2 and enter the appropriate login data.

Please refer to the Marginal note "Access to TIS-Office ToolBox 2" on Page 3.

The corresponding main window will open.

2 Click on [ReIndex/CompressDB].

The TIS-Office Compress/IndexRebuild dialogue box will open.
