7 Licensing

TIS-Office modules are permanently activated using software licences

(software keys). A licensed software key is sufficient to activate the "Basic"

module. For all other modules a dongle (copy protection) must be connected

too.

Please contact your service partner to apply for software licences. You will

have to provide him with the necessary information. He will then send you the

licensed software keys.

Condition

You will also need a dongle (copy protection) to license the modules.

If a dongle is connected, the relevant port must be opened and not be blocked

by the firewall; please refer to Chapter 5.3 "Dongle access" from page 5-9.

Important

Please note that the "Basic" module enables you to manage one company

(database) and one site.

With each "Company" module you can create one company and five sites.

Example: If you want to manage three companies and 9 sites, you will need

• one "Basic" module (one company and one site) and

• two "Company" modules (two companies and ten sites).

This means that you can manage a maximum of three companies and eleven

sites.
